There comes a time in everyone’s lives when big changes happen. Lately, I have noticed that my high school friends are slowly jetting away to different cities around Canada. The newest edition is Emilie-Anne (Em). She’s going away to study at McGill in Montreal. It is going to be really sad for a lot of us to say goodbye to her because she is such an amazing friend. I cannot even begin to understand how she will feel leaving her life behind, here in Edmonton.
Our lovely friend Lucie hosted a goodbye party a few weeks ago to celebrate Em. Here are a few pictures of the evening, which turned out to almost be a high school reunion.
What needs to be understood here is that new life experiences will occur and we need to take the opportunities that arise. Friendships you have now can last if you want them to, even when you leave them behind.
Em we will miss you, but we won’t forget you! Appreciate every moment you have in Montreal and I know that you will make some amazing new friends!
